"Crow Hammer" is more representative of where my work is currently heading - away from a modern pinup style into a more mystical one. Pointing to a time in the future - once we re-connect with mother nature, or in the past when humanity did have that connection. I like to think of it as being in the future - it gives me hope.
This piece is pretty representative of my style right now still- photo realistic to the point that I usually don't "ink" an outline - (some of my other works do) and this file has two layers - my sketch or guidelines and then color. I used simple round brushes at 100% opacity for color and between 30 - 40% opacity for the sketch or guides.
From left to right - top layer guides, red to contrast with the blue of the hair; middle - guides and the color layer below; right - color layer only.
